Dhashi. Such a good unique name. But what does it mean? Where did it come from? What is Dhashi, and how is it helping American women express themselves in a fashionable, relevant, and trendy way? A Little BackstoryDhashi came from the names of two friends who started this business together. The first three letters came from Dharini, and the last three came from Shila. We all know how hard it is to find the perfect palette or the style that suits you best when it comes to clothing. Dharini has her fair share regarding this matter. Growing up in Mumbai, India, she found it hard to find clothes in America that suited her style. anyWhenever she goes shopping, everything she sees is already out of fashion. Because of this, she thought of making a collection of her style, choices, and likings inspired by the city where she grew up. Dharini had the idea of creating a brand because she did not like her options. Her main goal was to become a little more than a collection, a little more fashionable, and even a little edgier. Her purpose is to modernize the clothing while preserving India's traditional culture. The company constantly gives its all and succeeds in offering customers up-to-date clothing because many people are looking for it. When Dhashi first opened, very few other businesses did what they did, contributing to their success. They have carved out their niche and are succeeding marvelously. Trade ShowsDhashi goes to a lot of trade shows. From Atlanta to Florida, there is just a lot to see. You name it, they have been on it. Going to trade shows keeps Dhashi busy because they are practically empty nesters. Trying to preserve and get the modern new collection, which is on par with India, was a fantastic thing to do. Because Dhashi has been very active in the industry, they have various contacts of manufacturers and designers. Dhashi visits them to get to know them and converse with them. They approach the designers and speak with them before viewing their collections. Dhashi understands how to create a style that is appealing to the masses. They then curate and attempt to obtain these designs and items. At the end of the process, the manufacturers and designers provide the goods to the company. |
